Awarded annually to women writers who are working on their first book, the Rona Jaffe Foundation Fellowship at MacDowell covers all costs of a residency at the Colony. Selected as the 2012 recipient of this award, Caitlin Myerwill receive all the essentials of a MacDowell residency, including exclusive use of a studio building, all meals and accommodations, and opportunities for inspiring exchanges with other artists from around the world. The Fellowship also comes with a $2,500 stipend to defray travel expenses and replace lost income during the residency. The shared hope of the Colony and the Rona Jaffe Foundation is to encourage applications from women writers who have not applied for residencies in the past for financial reasons.
