See you Sat.! Saturday, September 29, 2012, 2-4 pm. 100,000 Poets (and Musicians) for Change. Free. Readings for Culture Day. Landon Public Library (downstairs), 167 Wortley Rd., London ON N6C 3P6, http://www.londonpubliclibrary.ca/landon, 519-439-6240. Our afternoon reading will be part of an international event which will take place in many cities, in many villages and in the countryside all over the world, at the same time and date. The main website for “100,000 Poets for Change” is http://www.100tpc.org/. The first order of change is for poets to get together to perform, educate and entertain, simultaneously with others around the world, changing how we see our own community and the global community. Such an event ties in nicely with our local/national Culture Days: see http://www.culturedays.ca/en/2012-activities/view/4fa0324b-8cdc-4940-b575-21f04c4a89be. MPs Irene Mathyssen and Ed Holder will say a few words. Twenty-five poets are signed up. Musicians Jennifer White and Robert McMaster as well as Dennis Siren and JJ Fiasco (Jake Levesque and Julia Webb)!
